The HamLog developer actively listens to user feedback and strives to address every request and complaint. Users are encouraged to leave their callsigns in reviews or email directly for assistance with any issues encountered.
It is important to note that while HamLog offers a range of functionalities, it is not intended to replace more formal logging methods such as computer-based logging applications or the conventional paper method. It is specifically designed as a quick logging solution for portable or mobile operations. Users are advised to transfer all contacts to paper after returning from field QRP activities.
For those interested in importing ADIF files, a detailed example can be found at http://n3wg.com/hamlog.
For more information, feedback, feature requests, or general inquiries, users can contact the developer via the email address provided on n3wg.com or QRZ.
Field Day Logging Info:
The HamLog's Field Day tool allows users to log various sections including Date/time, Mode, Band, Callsign, Class, Section, Operator, Comment. The exported logs from the Field Day tool are in the form of a CSV file that can be opened by any spreadsheet program for further analysis.
The app incorporates standard duplicate detection seen in PC/Mac based applications but does not offer inter-device duplicate detection. Duplicate detection between devices can be performed using the exported spreadsheet application of choice.
iPad users benefit from specific features where sections worked are displayed versus sections not worked for each zone.
It should be noted that while efforts are made to ensure the reliability of the Field Day logging feature, no guarantees or warranties are provided. Users are advised to thoroughly test and familiarize themselves with the tool before using it live during Field Day.
